'Glee Project' runner-up Alex Newell finally lands on 'Glee'

Although the contestants on 2011's "Glee Project" reality show thought they were competing against each other for one coveted seven-episode arc on "Glee," creator Ryan Murphy ended up surprising everyone by crowning not one but two winners, and also giving two runners-up three-episode arcs of their own. Lindsay Pearce popped up in the Season 3 premiere, with winner Damian McGinty appearing just a few episodes later (he continues to recur long past his promised seven-episode stint). Samuel Larsen recently claimed his grand prize, and now the final runner-up, Newell, will make his first appearance in "Saturday Night Glee-ver."As you can see in the photos, Murphy seems to have made good on his promise to have Chris Colfer's Kurt and Amber Riley's Mercedes mentor Newell's character, Wade. It's unclear exactly how they'll all meet and how Wade will fit into the group, but we can look forward to at least two more episodes featuring the singer.Check...
