'Girls' recap: Episode 2

The second episode of "Girls" started off with a bang. Literally. The contrasting sex scenes between Hannah and Adam -- role-playing with Hannah in the role of an 11-year-old junkie, and Marni and Charlie, too sweet for Marni's taste -- was a daring way to start. But after a week of non-stop analyzation and the inevitable backlash to shining reviews, a shocking start was only appropriate. Best line. Well, best lines: It really is the little things about this show that have me yelling, "Yes! So true!" After the terribly awkward post-sex fight between Marni and Charlie, Hannah bursts through the door spitting out, "I will never... get used... to those stairs." In my five years in New York, I have surely said that sentence more than any other sentence. Got to love a fifth floor walk-up.Jessa's character was more fleshed out this week with her pregnancy scare. While Hannah and Marni were waiting for her to show up to her abortion appointment, they launched into a discussion about their own gynecological concerns.
