Bloody well good

This is one of the better vampire series I have seen since Dark Shadows, during the 1960s. Sookie is the equivalent of Buffy the Vampire slayer, although Sookie has yet to kill a vampire but is looking like she wants to date one. This show has great potential. I don't think the sex scenes are necessary for the main story. Those scenes can be cut out to market it to the local channels.

I agree with you that it's a very good vamp series, however I have to disagree with your statement that Sookie is like Buffy. She is pretty much nothing like Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She doesn't kill vamps, nor is she a "chosen", or anything like that. The similarities between Sookie and Buffy are as follows: they both have different (as in, ones you don't regularly hear) names, and both have blonde hair. That is all.And as for the sex scenes, one must remember who is directing the show, who created the show (Alan Ball) and also that it's on HBO. And while the sex scenes may seem superfluous, I think that in most (maybe not all) of them, you learn things about the characters you wouldn't generally otherwise know. And generally, whatever happens (whether it's a sex scene or whatnot) at some point in time will tie in with the main story. And can I just say, that I love this show. I've read all of the Southern Vampire novels, and I would really recommend anyone who hasn't read them and is watching the show to read them! They're by Charlaine Harris, and they'll give you kind of a background.

Sookie is NOTHING like Buffy. don't ever say that again. No offence :PI do think the constant in-your-face sex scenes are a bit much.

I agree with Faye and B_Nelson, Sookie IS NOTHING like Buffy. Sookie's too innocent and naive. Although I think that won't last very long, if she keeps hanging out with Bill ;)
The sex scenes should be...um...lowered a little bit. I'm not very comfortable seeing the aggressive scenes with Jason, honestly. lol. Not that he isn't fit or anything, I just think it shouldn't be THAT aggressive. I would understand if it were Bill and Sookie in that situation, I just hope they don't show too much of it.
I also can't wait for Eric to show up. I'm sure Sookie will be fine with Bill by her side....right? :D

hard sex scenes happen with Jason mainly, vampires, and not to forget Sookie on the porch, in her dreams, talking with Grandma...this sex link is a major one bounding the characters with something they could have -consciously or not...in their veins. I couldnt wait more for episode 4!
