What are the writers thinking???

Tonights episode left me with even more unanswered questions.

First off, any one remember the episode where the little boy died and he was hanging around his mother and also possessing his brothers body? Well, he could only do it temporarily and he never lost his memory while he did it(like Jim has now that he's possessed that other man).

Also, if Jim can just take over any body he wants, why couldn't he have just went back into his own body? It's not like the bodies died because the spirit left, the spirits leave the body because the body is too damaged to carry on. So Jim going into this dead guys body would not make the body come to back to life! Any one get what I'm saying?

And last but not least, Melinda didn't want Jim hanging around as a ghost but she's going to be okay with him taking over another body? I find that one hard to believe. Plus, aren't her friends going to think she's a little odd for dating a new guy only a few weeks after her hubby dies? It's not like she can tell every one "oh, it's Jim. He's possessing some random dude."

In the beginning of the episode, when Jim was looking into the doors and saw their wedding and saw him dying in the hospital, I thought maybe he'd be able to enter a room and almost go back in time...blah, this week just leaves me with more questions and is aggravating. If they have Jim live on in some one else's body, it's going to be very awkward for the fans. Even if we're still seeing David Conrad as Jim. Why couldn't the writers just let a good thing be with Jim and Melinda? >_<

I was really really hoping that he wasn't dead, and everything we were seeing was him sort of trapped in his own mind, figured the writers would have been smart enough rig it that way. Like make us all think he's dead and make himself think he's dead, but really he's just in a coma and is trapped in his mind. But this, it just makes no sense to me! It also makes me angry, it's not Jim in this dude's body. If it were Jim he'd have his memory. Melinda is the only one who can see Jim in this dude. I don't understand how his body dies but his spirit is still alive, but this stranger's body dies and his spirit leaves but yet Jim's spirit is able to just take over this body. It was stupid, if they were going to play it that way, then Jim's spirit should have been able to go back into his own body. The writers did NOT think this trough, or maybe he really is trapped in his mind, and what we all are seeing is him in his own mind. LOL a little confusing, but a LOT better then the crape they're writing right now.

Hahaha, I would prefer the story head that way too! I'd much rather see him in a coma than possessing people. There was an episode, in season two I think, where a ghost possessed a body but it began to rot. That's exactly what should happen to this body, since it was dead when Jim's spirit went in.

this episode made no sense and i think the writers are going to find it hard to keep ppl watching i will give it a few more episodes but if this is the way the show is going jim jumping from body to body then i too will prob leave sorry writers yuor to blame for the loss of fans

Ooh... 'Ouch' there, guardianofhell. But it's true, it does seem like the writers didn't think this through with Jim jumping from body to body and it might drive fans away. I think that this brings the season to a whole different level by going more in-depth by exploring the theme of love transcending death. I agree though that Jim jumping from body to body is a pretty absurd idea but I'm sure the writers were going for something bigger from there. Let's just be patient for the next episode and see where this leads to. I'm just relieved that they didn't kill off Jim and we don't get to see David Conrad again. I think this time the character of Jim is getting more interesting and giving him more screen time and development of character. In this way, it spins the story in an angle that the writers were probably thinking of exploring the relationship between the alive and the dead using Melinda and Jim. Wow... Ghost Whisperer sounds to be much more interesting and hopefully, the season doesn't end in a disappointment.

refering to the boy who possessed his brothers body...i dont think its the same cause sams soul went into the light.it was no longer in the body to fight jim's soul.as for not going back into his...maybe he didnt think it was possible at that time.maybe he just took a shot with sams body cause he saw sam go into the light.maybe he figured it had to be someone else's body if anything.idk. i know saying 'maybe...' alot isnt giving any answers.but...thats the way ive been looking at it so its not that confusing.and i dont think its gonna lose alot of viewers.if anything, i think itll get more.because now its more of a love story.a man who tried everything to stay with the one he loved.idk....i think its going to get really good =]
