TV ratings: 'Big Bang Theory' finale tops 'American Idol' Thursday, 'Vampire Diaries' steady


Fast National ratings for Thursday, May 10, 2012The season finale of "The Big Bang Theory" was down from its numbers last week, but it was still the night's top show among adults 18-49 and beat "American Idol" by almost a full point in their common half-hour. "Idol" was pretty much even with last week, as were the season finales of "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" last week.Elsewhere, "Grey's Anatomy" continued its late-season positive run by posting its best numbers in three months. The finale of "The Vampire Diaries" held steady with last week's ratings, as did "The Secret Circle."Network numbers coming shortly.
