TV ratings: 'The Choice' bests 'Saving Hope' in the battle of the new Thursday shows


Fast national ratings for Thursday, June 7, 2012Of Thursday's two new summer show debuts, FOX's reality experiment "The Choice," which is essentially a dating version of "The Voice" with pseudo-celebrities, managed to beat out NBC's medical drama/Canadian import "Saving Hope" on their premiere night. Elsewhere, "Duets" fell again but not nearly as much as its week two drop. As usual, the CBS repeats ruled the night with 6.9 million viewers and a 4.6 rating/8 share in households. ABC followed with 5.3 million viewers and a 3.6 rating/6 share, and FOX landed right in the middle with 3.7 million viewers (2.4/7). Bringing up the rear were NBC with 2.7 million (1.9/3) and The CW with 595,000 (0.4/1).In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS won again with a 1.6 rating, slightly beating out FOX's 1.5.
