Hell's Kitchen: Craps, and Idols, and Beckhams...Oh My!

Last week on Hell’s Kitchen, Chef Ramsey presented the remaining 10 contestants with a challenge in true Las Vegas fashion via the craps table.  This craps table, however, had a Hell’s Kitchen spin on it, of course, and instead of rolling numbers, the contestants rolled letters to choose their ingredients for the cooking challenge.

The men’s team rolled the dice first and seemed to tank under pressure choosing ingredients such as daikon and dragon fruit. The women faired a little better with a bit more realistic choices such as lamb and Brussels sprouts.  After being given thirty minutes, the teams rushed to present their creations, hoping to meet Hell’s Kitchen standards.  The red team served up a nicely cooked lamb; however, the Brussels sprouts were too crunchy and somewhat burned.  The blue team, despite their challenging choices of ingredients, put out a very nice daikon sushi roll and chicken roulade, however, Chef Ramsay declared the chicken a bit over cooked.
