With only four more episodes to go before the Season finale, I am holding my breath and savoring each episode, hoping this week would top the heartbreaking episode last week.
Seattle Grace Mercy West residents are not exactly the most sensitive people in the world. They may claim to be the best surgeons but definitely not the most sensitive. In fact, they are ones very likely to give snide remarks and well, let's just face it, they NEED the sensitivity training. Especially when they are to work in a case with a patient that weighs 700 pounds! MIranda Bailey prepares the team with mandatory sensitivity training prior to admitting the patient with compounded medical issues, and the case proves to be challenging in every sense of the word. Do they survive being sensitive? Some would, others will be jackasses and offend the wife because she's lean, he's obviously not. And yes, they are talking about sex again.
Meanwhile, Derek has to come face to face with a former patient's husband in a wrongful death deposition. It has caused his mind to focus on lawsuits rather than the patients as his decision for the current cases are affected. Richard tries to remind him of what he needs to do. While his wife, Meredith, gives Owen Hunt a piece of her mind (or facial expression) regarding what he said to Derek about Teddy and what Cristina asked Owen to do. Of course she would defend her friend Derek! They're a team.
Still on other storyline, Cristina becomes more human as old wounds open up when she spends time with a heart patient's daughter. If she found out about Owen, she'd be devastated. Now that is good television!
