Athleticism has never truly had a place within the confines of America's Next Top Model. Though movement itself is one of the core concepts the show underlines each cycle, those with an athletic background tend to get tripped up by their past. They might have a leg up on the competition through their comfort with their bodies, but if they get too comfortable and rely too much on their training, they risk being called out as not being model-esque and booted from the competition.
In "The Girl Who Sings for Alicia Keys," the remaining models have to try to keep their "model" while performing cheerleading stunts. Each photo will be taken mid-air (a'la the fairy tale shoot from cycle 6), thus giving the ladies a pretty broad spectrum of things they can do. They may have a lot of latitude in which they can move, but they have to make sure to keep their pretty while coming off as a believable cheerleader. Additionally, they'll be walking in a fashion show for Keep a Child Alive, a charity focused on the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa and India. The winner of the runway challenge will get to take a friend to see Alicia Keys, an ambassador to the cause, in concert.
