'Dexter' star Jennifer Carpenter teases Deb and Dexter's 'dangerous' dynamic

It's not much of an exaggeration to say "Dexter" has virtually reinvented itself in its electrifying seventh season, which debuts Sunday, Sept. 30. Deb's (Jennifer Carpenter) discovery that Dexter (Michael C. Hall) is a serial killer fundamentally changes their relationship -- in a very "dangerous" way, Carpenter tells Zap2it. "At any second, I can say, 'enough,'" she explains. "One of us could go down at any second, and we both know it. And in fact at one point I threaten it, [saying], 'I'll take you and me down together. This is going to go my way.'" And Carpenter relishes Deb's new power. "I've never had the upper hand with Dexter," she says about her character, who since her promotion is her brother's boss as well.
