Grey's Anatomy Star Kevin McKidd Promises an 'Upbeat' Episode

After a season that kicked off with the aftermath of a plan crash, leg amputations, and numerous other maladies, Grey's Anatomy star Kevin McKidd stepped behind the camera—for the fourth time—to direct what he calls an "upbeat" episode of the series, tonight's "I Saw Her Standing There" which airs at 9PM ET.  With the death of Mark (Eric Dane) and Lexie still in our short-term memory, and the amputation of Arizona's leg, it might seem a little too soon to go for laughs, but the Grey's Anatomy writers thing after all of that darkness it's definitely time for some sunshine.

"I think the writers felt the audience needed a break, so Episode 4 is really fun. All my other episodes have been quite intense," McKidd told TVGuide.com. "So it's been really fun to break out of that." Read More...
