Dexter becoming a drama?

It could just be me but is dexter still a show about the life and mind of a serial killer or is it slowly becoming a generic cop drama?

I loved the first two seasons but now it feels dry and lifeless, it's less about dexter killing people and more about dexter and the rest of the casts personal lives....this series just doesn't have any suspense and barely any plot line.

:-( It feels like it's becoming a soap opera... This makes me sad. I realize a lot of other women like this sort of thing, but that's never appealed to me. Unfortunately, t.v. writers often write to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

Well, it seems like Dexter is starting to form a life now... and its gonna be pretty dramatic... though I'm not to fond of its current atmosphere (the same episode OVER and OVER), Dexter worries about something Miguel shows up, Miguel makes Dexter join him in a certain event (dinner, talk, etc.), Rita worries, Debra talks to the insider, he hits on her, the new guy bitches at Debra for talking to his insider, the Asian girl shows up out of nowhere, Dexter and Miguel talk again, Dexter looks for a victim... might kill him, might not, roll credits, show teaser, looks like the last episode, wait a week... yup, it does seem like a soap opera...

I think that once Miguel is out of the picture, things will start to look-up. He is such an annoying character.

I'm not dissapointed, just a little pissed that its already episode 6 and they're still dealing with the same crap from square one... at least focus on the new serial killer, instead they have to cover up Miguel's crap with all could have been done in one episode (like the old seasons). And they are still looking for freaking Freebo... if I hear that name in episode 6 more than once I'm gonna snap...
