'Skyfall' Shatters U.K. Record for Monday Box Office

The U.K.'s fascination with James Bond has never been more intense, at least at the box office. "Skyfall," the latest entry in the super spy franchise, has set the record for that country's biggest Monday ever, taking in $6.8 million.

That tops the previous Monday all-time high, set by last year's "Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, Part 2" with $5.1 million. The 23rd film in the 50-year-old Bond film franchise has now taken in more than $96 million in four days and should pass the $100 million mark Thursday.
