Donna

Does anyone think donna may be too old? She looks older than the doctor (evan though we know shes not cause hes about 900) Its just when i watched partners in crime she didnt look that much younger than the woman who played her mother. I also could just think shes too old because i like rose and martha.

I think it's fantastic for Donna to be older. What you saw with Rose was the Doctor in love. He was happy and playful and fun. Then with Martha, it was a grieving Doctor... he wasn't over Rose, and even though he was playful and fun at times, he always had a dark undertone. The fact that Martha had feelings for him and he was oblivious made the audience feel sorry for Martha, making the tone even darker. What we get now with Donna is a doctor in recovery from heartache. He's ready to move on, and the witty Donna can keep him company without him worrying about breaking her heart, or his own heart getting broken when she decides she's ready to move on. Also, I think that the fans aren't ready for another romantic relationship for the Doctor. The Rose-Doctor relationship is so cherished by viewers... I know personally, when he kissed Martha, I felt he was cheating on Rose. Anyway, I adore Catherine Tate, and I adore Donna! The comedic chemistry between them just keeps getting better and better. I look forward to oncoming eps.

I agree with YourFaveCupcake. The romance between the Doctor and Rose was controversial among the fans of the old series (there was a taboo against it), and Martha's relationship with him got a little tiresome (not that I didn't like her; she was great). With Donna we finally have someone who can keep up with his breakneck speed of talking. I had my doubts after "The Runaway Bride," but now that she's gotten a little less clueless they're fantastic together.

I to think that it is a good thing in a way it brings back the way the Dr was when it was Tom Backer [ who was my fav.] but reversed. Now Donna takes on the roll of the happy go lucky person that Tom was and The Doctor is more like most of the Companions was in the way that he is looking at thing now.
It is hard for me to say it in type but I think most of the Fans from way back my understand what I am trying to say [I hope lol:>] But ether way I think it is looking good over all Rose and Martha was good but I think Donna is the companion for the Doctor.
So YourFaveCupcake and SquiggyDralion are on the button there..
