Chevy Chase leaving NBC's 'Community' after four seasons

Chevy Chase is a "Community" dropout. After three and a half years and four seasons (well, he almost made it through filming four seasons ...), Chase and the producers of the NBC comedy have decided to part ways "by mutual agreement," reports Deadline.Most of Season 4's 13-episode order has already been filmed -- save one or two episodes -- but since Chase's departure is effective immediately, his character, Pierce Hawthorne, will not appear in the final episodes.Chase's time on the show has been tumultuous at best. In a recent interview with the Huffington Post UK, he calls his decision to do the show "a big mistake." Plus, there was his feud with the show's creator and former showrunner, Dan Harmon, which included a nasty voicemail Chase left for Harmon, who left the series at the end of Season 3.
