Good always defeats evil, but that doesn’t mean evil backs down without a fight. The winter finale of Once Upon a Time showed Hook and Cora’s past, revealed Emma’s power, reunited everyone, and had a mostly happy ending. As an added bonus, important plot points were resolved before the month long break, so fans weren’t left hanging.

It was neat to learn that Hook worked for Regina first and then ended up paired with Cora, and it’s fun and fitting that Cora became the Queen of Hearts after Regina banished her. She’s taken so many of them after all (how cool is that a heart can be put back?). I wasn’t expecting that she wanted to return to Storybrooke to help her daughter – you just sort of assume she wants revenge like Hook. That twist shows that she is perhaps a little off balance but that she also still loves her daughter. Read More...
