Lena Dunham Enlists Robyn, Fun. For 'Girls' Soundtrack

Hey, "Girls" fans! January is looking to be your month. In addition to the premiere of the second season of the HBO hit on January 13, Lena Dunham has confirmed that the show’s first-ever soundtrack will hit retailers days prior on January 8.

For it, the female wunderkind has teamed up with record label Fueled By Ramen and will include "new and exclusive" tracks from fun. (Lena is reportedly dating the band’s guitarist Jack Antonoff), Santigold, Grouplove and Michael Penn. Not enough new music for you? The digital-only deluxe edition will also include new music from Tegan & Sara. And, oh yeah, Robyn also made the cut.

"Music is such a huge part of my creative process," Lena said in a statement. "I make playlists to write by and listen to as I head to set in the morning, and I experiment in editing with songs that the characters would love and that accurately reflect their struggles. 'Girls'' music supervisor Manish Raval and I are crazy about everything from the pop that teen girls devour to the niche indie rock from days of yore. To collaborate with Fueled by Ramen and so many artists who inspire me on this compilation is a dream." Read More...
