TV ratings: 'The Voice' finale sets a record, 'NCIS' and CBS up too


Fast National ratings for Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012The finale of "The Voice" scored the show's best final-episode ratings ever on Tuesday, improving by more than 2 million viewers and half a point in adults 18-49 over last spring's finale. CBS -- the only other network running all original programming -- also had a good night. All three of its dramas were up over last week in adults 18-49, and "NCIS" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" improved in viewers too. ABC's comedies "Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B---- in Apt. 23" held steady from last week despite airing opposite "The Voice."CBS averaged 14.85 million viewers and a 9.4 rating/15 share in households for the night. NBC finished second with 12.05 million viewers and a 7.1/11. There was a steep drop from there to third-place ABC (4.2 million, 2.6/4).
