Okay after catching up with last week's episode, I have to say I find myself getting emotionally invested in Echo and the FBI agent Paul Smith. I noticed it started for me in "Grey Hour". Watching Echo rock back in forth and saying "should I go now" over and over I felt the first twinges of sympathy. I found myself feeling so sorry for her.
And then it happened again in "True Believer"...I found I was feeling generally scared for Echo's safety and even was cheering her handler on to save her. Way to go Joss because I am already feeling for a character who, let's face it, doesn't have much character to give unless it's imprinted on her.
For Tahmoh Penikett's charcater, Paul Smith, I feel his sense of loss and drive to locate Caroline/Echo. We suspect there is a love story threre, or perhaps Echo is his sister, but the point is, I am feeling the connection!
And I can't wait to see what this is about...
So are you feeling a connection? What else has Joss been able to roll out so well in these 5 episodes? How about the "flocking" or the "man reaction" primal behaviors we are starting to see amoung the dolls. Does anyone care about Siera yet?
