TV ratings: 'X Factor' Season 2 finale rises, still down from Season 1


There was good news and bad news for the Season 2 finale of FOX's "The X Factor." The music competition posted its highest overall audience and 18-49 demo ratings since the early October bootcamp rounds, but the numbers were still down from last season's already soft ratings.The 9.65 million total viewers and 3.1 rating in 18-49 was good enough to rank "The X Factor" #1 for the night in 18-49 and give FOX the lead in both categories. But the most watched show of the evening was a rerun of "The Big Bang Theory" that drew 10.9 million viewers. "The X Factor" came close to that in its final half hour of a two-hour live results show, hitting 10.8 million viewers.
