Ok, so last week I was questioning the whole Nate and Jenny "get-together" situation that maybe it was a little rushed.....but with this episode the whole thing grew on me to where I was comfortable with the idea and I no longer felt it was so randomly dropped on us.
That being said...."WOW" to this episode! I was with a lot of you before when the whole Little-J stepping into the spot like was making me role my eyes a bit and was taking away from the main action; but with this episode Little-J was the main action! I'm sorry, but I was so there when she was going through everything trying to pull this guerrilla fashion show off, and when she did, it rocked!
Anybody love Little-J's new model bff? I think she's wild, crazy, and will add some random bits of spice to the show. <3 her!
And can we all just take a minute to love Lily Bass for her reaction of being totally cool and down? You could totally tell that these events bored her to tears, so when Jenny revved it up, she was grateful and impressed. Double <3 her!
Oh and poor clueless Rufus. I was so disappointed in him this week. He just didn't get it at all. Jenny kept saying that once her father saw what she could really do, he would understand and it would be better.... When he did a 180 from that, I think it broke her heart. It's like even though her phone would be ringing off the hook and she was on her way to becoming the designer she wanted to be, it didn't matter b/c her dad wasn't behind her. Definitely tugged at my heart strings. Double :( faces.
The writers also paid real attention to how Jenny and Nate would be acting after the first kiss and last 2 minutes of "Pret-a-Poor". Finally some development, only to have it dashed by Vanessa's hurt feelings.....so I like Vanessa but if she keeps being the victim in every episode, I'm going to pray that the writers write in that someone runs her down just so she'll be "in the hospital" and out of a couple episodes. I mean, I get Jenny wanting to smooth things over with Vanessa b/c her feelings were hurt, but how long was Jenny crushing on Nate really? I'm guessing forever and then she threw it out the window....can we say crazy? They can't help how they feel about each other (Nate seems to fall over anyone, but whatever; not the point) and if Vanessa didn't have the guts to confront Nate again after their so-called "break-up" then it's really Vanessa's fault for letting him get away from her. I mean how much time passed there? Get a grip babe, really.
I really think Dan was a bit of a little bitch this week. Vanessa was so right when she said that he should just trust Jenny, and that he was so quick to justify whatever Nate was up to when Nate usually makes retarded decisions and condemn his sister who's been busting her ass. I'm totally on Jenny's side this week and Dan definitely sucked as a big brother here. Self-righteous pain in the ass ends up taking a page out his little sister's book and might actually get into Yale because of it! Bet he feels really shitty about selling her out!
On to the rest of our much too beautiful cast....
Serena and Adam Rose......ok no. I love the actor that plays Adam Rose and Adam Rose himself seems to be quite lovable, but he also seems to be a complete ho. I'm sorry, but I love Serena and the guy she sees right after coming out of her relationship with Dan, should not be a ho. How can she just go off with him after he's been so shady? And I love that when she starts questioning his ho-behavior, he talks her out of it like she's a complete idiot....and she took that! What the hell?! Not pleased with Miss Serena this week. Lickerish rings....gag!
If Mr. Rose turns out to rock I will throw some love his way, but he was definitely shady and guilty of some ass-hattery this week.
Blair, how I love you for seeing yourself in someone else long enough to be awesome and still get what you were after! I can't believe I'm saying this,
