New Girl "A Father's Love" Review: In Which Nick's Dad Has to Go See a Man About a Horse

With the introduction of Walt Miller, New Girl upheld that time-honored TV tradition of deadbeat dads and the children who despise them, and it did so with more nuance and understanding than we get in most comedies.

The dead beat dad story is one everyone has heard before. But the ladies in my office at DISH said that New Girl has taken it to a new level, so I can’t wait to get back into town and see this episode! I didn’t have a spare moment to set my DVR to record it before I left, but that is ok because I have a DISH Hopper. It auto-records the prime time shows on the big four networks with the PrimeTime anytime feature and then saves them for me for 8 days. So no matter how busy my schedule is, my favorite programs are always waiting for me when I have some down time.
