'Alphas' cancelled by Syfy after two seasons

After two seasons on Syfy, "Alphas" has been cancelled. Several of the series' cast members reported the news on Twitter.Ryan Cartwright was first, tweeting: "Unfortunately #Alphas is cancelled :( "Co-stars Warren Christie and Azita Ghanizada followed:Christie: "Like my buddy @RyanCartwright has reported, unfortunately #Alphas has been cancelled. Thanks for tuning in the last couple of years!!"Ghanizada: "Sad to say that ALPHAS will not be returning. What an honor to get to play Rachel for 2years & to work w/ & for the MOST AMAZING PEOPLE EVER"Syfy released the following statement: "Syfy has decided not to renew Alphas for a third season. It sickens me that there is no resolution to shows like this. They put in series cliff hangers and then axe the bloody show without a though for telling a story. It's like releasing a book and publishing it without the final chapter. At least with other shows I've liked which have gone this way Farscape & Fringe specifically, they had a a final round up series, or mini series. Keep your viewers happy and don't treat them like mindless sheep I reckon!

Of course another show that is actually good and intelligent and different from most everything else gets axed...
