R.I.P Lionel

We've seen Lionel do some pretty bad things and try to make up for it, but i guess when you get used to a character, it's hard to see them go. I'm not a big fan of Lionel but i did get really sad when he died. I can say though that he died quiet calm, falling 40 floors yet he didn't even blink for a second. How cruel can one be enough to kill their own father? Well i guess in the end, he made up for his wrongs be4 leaving. R.I.P Lionel.

I've already seen the episode, but people really have to stop posting spoilers like this with no warning - it really does ruin the element of surprise for people who have yet to see the episode.
Now, for my semi-spoiler...
While I think it's great that they tried to put a positive spin on Lionel's life - protector of the traveler and all, he still committed great crimes that had nothing to do with the 'traveler' and everything to do with his greed and need for power and control.
Does trying to protect the traveler in the end make up for all of his wrong-doings? It seems as though the writers would like us to forgive him all his sins. I don't see Lionel in a positive light (but I did enjoy his character for the most part). His character died a divided man - caught between his greed and his attempt to do the right thing.
It will be interesting to see how this death affects everyone else in the episode. [There was actually more than one death in this episode to speak of - all very interesting and dark].
