Glee Episode Recap: "Showmance"

In Tuesday's episode of Glee (no matter what Fox is calling it, it's technically the second of the series after May's "preview" episode), Will faces pressure at school from Coach Sylvester, who'd like to see glee disbanded, and at home from his insane wife Terri, who would very much like to buy a house that the Scheusters cannot afford. His two-part plan: Find six more kids to join glee and make more money. How does he do it? Through the magical power of singing, of course! Get ready for songs from Chic, Kanye West, Salt 'N Pepa, and Rihanna.

What did you think of "Showmance"? Did it live up to the promise of May's preview episode?

After being around choirs and tv my whole life I have to say this is the first show that combined both with clarity, passion, humor and just complete awesomeness. Damn those girls can sing and i'm not just talking about the ones already in glee, the cheerleaders can singe???? what? Don't know how I feel about that but it's been good so far we'll see. Cant wait for "Somebody to Love".But to sum up the second episode in the series one word comes to mind: Wow.

Oh, hmmm. I liked this episode, but the plot seems to be moving too quickly. Some classic moments, like Emma's crying in her car, would have been hilarious later in the season because the episode was bursting at the seams with bits of plot that would seem to inflate the show. But now, everything between the couples seems to have already been brought to light. It's just weird, and a little disappointing. And "Push It" was supposed to be at least the highlight of the show, but I felt like it wasn't enough of a defiance.
As a person, I'm not even really a naysayer, but I hope Glee looks up after this and takes the plot at a decent pace with a more defined angle in each episode.
It was still pretty fun to watch, though!
