After only two episodes of the debut season of the new period piece drama Ripper Street having aired on BBC America, the cabler has already announced that the series will be back for a second season, consisting of eight episodes.
The series stars Matthew Macfadyen (‘Pride & Prejudice’ and ‘Spooks’ – aka ‘MI5? here in the States), Jerome Flynn (‘Game of Thrones’) and Adam Rothenberg (‘The Ex List’) and covers the East End of London in 1889, during the aftermath of the "Ripper" murders.
