Missing in Action

With the coming out of the Dark Knight, I think everyone knows who is going to be talked about and why he is. Heath Ledger is the main focus of the commercials and the main talk about an Oscar for this movie. Just based on the previews and comments from his costars, we all know its going to be a big hit. No one will want to wait for it to come out on DVD to see, I know that my first viewing will not be online or from my home TV screen. This is mainly because going to see the Dark Knight in theater on opening weekend will be my tribute to Ledger. For me to say that Heath is not Oscar worthy would just be wrong. He basically died from this role. I say this because in reports after his death he was taking sleeping pills because he was having nightmares about, get this... clowns. As sad as that is, that is what a true and great actor does, he makes the role become real so that we can experience the fear and the excitement that is ment to be felt. So here is my vote that will not count towards Heath getting an Oscar.

I had been following Heath Ledger's bright career since his role in the Patriot. I saw him in Four Feathers, and Brokeback Mountain. He was becoming a fine actor. I was heart broken to hear of his death. I was looking forward to following even more years of anticipated great acting of his future work. Rest in Peace Heath Ledger. Know that you made your mark. I was inspired by your work. Maybe someday we will meet and I can return the favor.
