Switched at Birth Season 2 Review “Human/Need/Desire”

It’s Valentine’s Day on this week’s Switched at Birth, ‘Human/Need/Desire’, but no one is feeling very romantic. Our two central couples, Bay/Emmett and Daphne/Travis, are either on the rocks or completely over, and even Toby got his heart broken by Natalie when he didn’t reciprocate her religious views.

This episode wasn’t really about love and relationships, but instead it focused on the fallout from Daphne and Travis’ incident last week. She and Travis didn’t report the crime to the police but seem to be dealing with the trauma pretty well, while the same definitely can’t be said of the adults in their lives. As soon as a the truth comes out, John, Regina and Katherine are at each other’s throats once again, fighting about money, influence, and the power of the non-biological parent vs. the biological one. Surely, after this long under the same roof, the Kennish’s should know better than to rob Regina of her power over Daphne when things go awry?
