Too Much Drama?

Does anyone feel the show has too much drama now? I mean, seasons one and two were just light and funny, really put you in a great mood when you watched them. Put the last three seasons, mainly the second half of four and season five so far have had way to much drama. The show is now 60% drama and 40% comedy.

Many people share these feelings and have begun falling out of love with The Office. If this sounds like you, I offer this advice.
I suggest you go back and watch season one. Though the story moved a bit slower, the series was a lot darker with some shows ending on a down note like the health care episode.
Series have to grow up. They have to evolve. Things have to get deeper or the show seems stagnant. Embrace the change. After all, you wouldn't stop loving a younger family member just because he or she started entering adulthood and left the cuter era of their childhood.
The show is great. It's smarter than 90% of what's on television right now, not to mention funnier than all those shows as well.

I feel like the show isn't as hilarious every episode as it used to be. I like the developed drama for the most part, but it does feel a bit off for what we're used to from The Office. I'm used to hanging on the end of an Office episode dying for more comedy, but not for what will happen with whatever romance, etc. the next week - this is good as it gives it more for us to look forward to, but also a little bad since I do agree this drama has taken away from the comedy some.
