'Survivor's' Jeff Probst on Brandon Hantz's 'historic' meltdown, Shamar's woes

"Survivor: Caramoan" lost two castaways Wednesday night (March 6) when Shamar Thomas was the first medical evacuation of the season, having scratched his eye when a piece of sand got inside. Host Jeff Probst tells EW that it did pop into his head that perhaps Shamar was using it as an excuse to leave, especially considering Probst has already been to see Shamar at Gota's camp."It went through my head [that it was an excuse] because I had already visited Shamar a few days earlier (which we didn't air) and he really seemed to want to go home, but his tribe talked him into staying," says Probst. "So when I got the call that he needed to see medical I was already speculating about the situation.
