TV ratings: 'American Idol' hits a series low Thursday, 'Big Bang' down too

Fast National ratings for Thursday, March 14, 2013Thursday's "American Idol" fell to a series low for a regularly scheduled episode, scoring just a 3.0 rating among adults 18-49. A number of other shows were down too as daylight saving time may have had its first real effect on the ratings."The Big Bang Theory" remained the night's most-watched show, but it also tied its lowest rating of the season in the 18-49 demographic. "Community," "Two and a Half Men," "Glee" and "The Office" all fell from their most recent originals, and "Grey's Anatomy" also hit a series low in the demo. NBC's "Parks and Recreation" bucked the trend, improving in adults 18-49 over its last new episode.CBS averaged 13.4 million viewers and an 8.3 rating/14 share in households to lead the night.
