ONCE UPON A TIME: “SELFLESS, BRAVE AND TRUE” REVIEW

Last night’s Once finally revealed what happened to August/Pinocchio. He sent the postcard to Neal when the curse broke but then he disappeared. His return to the show was brief but pivotal to the story; he was the connection who showed us Neal’s fiancée's true colors. Jokes about wood not withstanding, the effects on August were surprisingly good. The character was more lifelike than you would imagine – even his eyes were expressive (and a little creepy). His movements were fluid; you can tell they put a lot of thought into how he would move. Everything held up even when viewing just a side profile of his face.
