Is that all you've got?

Is anyone else left unconvinced? I mean, Serena tosses a couple of snide remarks at Blair and Dan, and suddenly its "uh oh, the real Serena!" i mean, ??? - Last season flashbacks she was practically snorting a line of coke off a guy having OD seizures and getting plastered on Thanksgiving... In terms of where she was... I don't really think this new Serena is stepping up to the plate. Yeah, she has a cat fight with Blair, tells Dan hes a loser for asking someone else out on the first day of school, and now has a couple of cronies, but on the whole, I'd say shes pretty tame so far...

I think people just have a hard time with the dynamic shifting, die hard fans must love Serena and Dan together, but God. Dan is so boring on screen - Consistently, Blair and Chuck are the only characters with charisma.

And don't get me started on Nate, he should have stuck to abercrombie ads - hes great to look at, but his lines always fall flat!! - Pity, because hes so flippin' hot. Why can't he take an acting class... just one...And no girl is really going to measure up to Nate's hotness. Thus, He needs a hot gay fling. (Alright, alright fine. i'll settle for some passionless make-out sessions someplace semi-public with the new 'bad Serena').

Yeah I have to agree that Serena's change was so sudden. There was almost nothing preparatory to it. Okay yes, Dan hurt her feelings but I dont think that was enough to change her.Plus he has done that before and she had stayed the same.I think they needed to make Serena's change happen quickly so there would be more action. However Im glad she changed because it kinda make it more interesting.Yes Nate's (Or Chace's) acting is really unconvincing. But I still want to see him end up with Vanessa.Chuck and Blair are amazing in their roles.Dan needs to put a bit more effort into his expressions.

I think you're getting it wrong. The "real Serena" that they are talking about is not the drunk girl we saw at Thanksgiving or the coke sniffing girl partying with Georgina, they're talking about the Attitude, the "I'm Queen" attitude. We didn't see the real Serena last season, we just saw previews. I like this new Serena, it makes the show more interesting... actually I wasn't totally convinced with the whole "I'm not like that anymore" attitude she had in season 1, people change sure, but she can hide the way she used to be all she wants but that doesn't mean that person is gone... it's just dormant. And I think this time it's gonna come out full force. I'm looking forward to it :)

Ok, as far as "bad Serena" goes, it's only the beginning. It's like we're seeing her turn back into the queen biotch she was before. I mean, the flash backs were of her at her most drunk or in situations where she's gotten into too much trouble to be bitchy. I mean, she's not evil at heart, we know this, but she is Blair's friend for god sakes, she had to have had her own amount of biotch in her to get her anywhere near Blair. Blair would have never started out a friendship with someone who was being as nice and good natured as Serena. If Serena had always been a lame drunk or such a sweetie, Blair would have had her for breakfast.
As far as the books go, I think the writers went into another direction. Yeah Serena was the party girl, but why is Blair so insecure in the beginning of the show that Serena was going to take her queen status back? Either way, I don't think this show is going to stick to the book at all.
It's easy to see how she would go back to be the queen. She wasn't acting like herself when she ran away to boarding school or when she came back b/c she had a life changing experience that she felt guilty over and maybe if she was a better person it would make up for it. BUT that situation was resolved, she's had time to get over it, and the way Dan keeps treating her like she's evil was bound to get to her. He can only accuse her of being awful but so many times. In the end, he's the only one that really cared about the "good Serena"; everyone else was ok with old one. He pushed too far and she decided to stop groveling for him to accept her and go back to the people that always did in the fashion she was accustom. I think this was in her the whole time. It's kind of like not really liking the life your leading but it being too hard to change.
And eh, the C and D could be better, but I really don't care too much. GG is my guilty pleasure and as far as that goes, they're all doing just fine.
Besides, Chuck Bass was behind the whole thing...sparks will fly. I'm excited for the twist:)
