Suburgatory Season 2 Review “Decemberfold”

Late in the run of its debut season, Suburgatory introduced the character of Eve as a love interest for George. There wasn’t a lot of chemistry between the characters, and the writing coupled with Alicia Silverstone’s performance made for some pretty rough television. At the time, it was easy to dismiss as a first season misstep. After all, plenty of shows experiment with different things in the opening season. To their credit, they responded very quickly and Eve was never heard from after the first season concluded. Surely they had learned from their mistakes. Sadly, it doesn’t look like they have. The relationship issues with George and Eve were quickly transferred onto George and Dallas, and now it seems like Dalia’s going to try to get in the mix. What exactly she is doing with those pictures of “Daddy Altman” isn’t totally clear, but it doesn’t lead anywhere good from a plot standpoint. Tonight’s episode wasn’t unfunny, but it seemed to set up a troubling set of circumstances as we go down the stretch of the season while continuing one of my season-long problems. READ MORE...
