"A dragon is not a slave." "Dracarys," indeed. What an awesome, crowd-pleasing closing scene. Yes, last season's finale also showed Dany using the old "roasting someone alive" trick, but it was an act of self-defense, coming after a season of her clawing her way back up the Essos social ladder. The satisfying scorching of Master Kraznys was deliberate and pre-meditated, giving Dany a new shrewd, cruel edge that we'd always hope she'd discover. Yes, she pretty much pulled a double-cross, after us listening to her complain the particular ethics of Astapor, but we forgive because she sees the entire attack as the emancipation of slaves.
