‘Mad Men’ Creator Admits To Historical Error on Show

Matthew Weiner, creator of "Mad Men," apologized for an error in the most recent episode of the hit cable-TV show during a discussion Tuesday night in New York. In the episode, set in 1968, a character said she had made dinner reservations at the Manhattan restaurant Le Cirque, which did not open until 1974. The show, on AMC, strives for historical accuracy, but "we make mistakes," he said at the Paley Center for Media.
