'Veep's' Matt Walsh: Kent is just 'using Mike for his averageness'

"Veep's" episode "The Vic Allen Dinner" was a big one for Mike McClintock (Matt Walsh). He bonded with Kent (Gary Cole) over their love of sailboats -- and then got temporarily traded to the West Wing for a trip to Helsinki. Walsh tells Zap2it that despite Mike's new-found common interest with Kent, it doesn't go all that well. "[Mike] has no idea what Kent does or anything about analytics. He's terrified of that position," says Walsh. "His best skill is that he has a pretty high social IQ. He's into retail politics, that's what they call them. So he's just dying over there, because it's all about new media and market shares and analytics. He has no idea. He's surrounded by people he can't relate to who probably make fun of him for being a dinosaur."Walsh also says that the excursion into the West Wing lingers for an episode or two, but don't mistake it...
