Seven Pounds Movie Review

Seven Pounds is a powerful, mysterious film, slow to reveal itself, but engaging all the way. In the opening minutes, we hear Will Smith's character make a 911 call reporting a suicide - his own - before flashing back to a series of seemingly random, inconsistent, disconnected actions.

I loved it, it pulled me in and kept me engaged the entire time. This is just another showcase of how powerful of an actor he is, and I can't forget to praise Rosario Dawson. She also put on a wonderful performance, playing as a woman with a weak heart but encompassing a person that's full of life. I couldn't have asked for more, it contained a lot of emotional scenes and presented a powerful message at the end. I agree this could possibly be the best film of the year.

So THAT'S what it's about! I felt like the previews didn't give any idea of the source or point of the storyline. That sounds interesting and definitely like a good Will Smith performance - looks like one worth checking out!

Just watched it... not a bad movie... but far from the movie of the year... really good story line, something different for the masses is always a good thing...

I've seen the trailer but still not sure of whether I want to see it or not. I like a happy ending and I suspect I won't get one.

Depending on how you look at it, it's a very happy ending.I don't want to give anything away, but a lot of the characters have very happy endings.
