My Bloody Valentine.. AKA Famine

Ok so at first I thought yay another episode when Sam is being geekified and Dean is out drinking Purple Nurples.. But surprisingly no. It was nice to see Sam drinking the good old Demon blood again (how is it demon blood if they are black smoke inside a human vessle?), Dean NOT eating is a shocker. There must be one episode when he doesnt eat. How Jenson Ackles isnt fat I will never know.. I am rambling .. But my point is, It was nice for the writers to make this episode different when they could have made it go the same as the previous ones (GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS)

P.S how sad the fact the Dean feels dead on the inside.. :(

"how is it demon blood if they are black smoke inside a human vessle?"

The same way ghosts and out-of-phase/intangible characters on science fiction shows pass right through all solid objects except the floor. Some things we just don't question, okay?

Clearly it is demon blood because when the demon (black smoke) enters and takes over the body it takes over bodily functions as well. Thus, when the blood is oxygenized or otherwise modified in the body, the demon is doing this to its standards. Therefore, you have demon blood.
But really, thats like asking light sabers in Star Wars can cut through anything if they're technically just light. Its a part of how the show/movie has always been written and goes without direct explanation from the source material. Naturally we can extrapolate possible reasonings in order to answer such questions, but there is really no need.
Also, I would like to take this opportunity to point out to any and all viewers that complained about too little of this season being dedicated to the apocalypse that the past 3 episodes (from Swap Meat to My Bloody Valentine) have been directly tied into the main story-line. Also, it seems that this trend is not going to stop anytime soon (at least not with the next episode).

I think it's funny that this episode is called "My Bloody Valentine," considering the fact that Jensen Ackles (Dean) was in that movie. But you know what...Supernatural is the BOMB!
