The most un-tragic finale in the history of OTH

I loved how un-tragic the finale was. It was truely beautiful, having everything work out the way it did. It did make me wonder though, that was the last episode that CMM and Hilarie Burton were going to be on the show, and since there was no explanation as to why they wouldnt be there next season, it really makes me wonder how the writers are going to explain it.

I hope its not something lame like the other characters saying something about how they decided to leave or how they missed them and explaining how they left.

Maybe the two actors will appear in the first couple of episodes and then leave...which means that although they are happy right now and everything is going perfect, that could all change by next season...

The final scene was the three of them Lucas, Peyton and baby Sawyer riding into the sunset in the Comet....given all the tragedies with cars in OTH history...u never know what might happen...

What does everyone else think? How will the writers explain the disappearance of two of the biggest characters on the show?

This would've been the perfect ending to the entire show. They should've just stopped it right here and left everything happy.

i agree i dont wanna see the show end but it would have been beautiful. i think they arent leaving the show and it was just hype to make us think peyton would die. but if they are they prob will do something dumb and say they moved to la or something for the studio..... hopefully they stay tho

alwaysNforever, yes it was totally predictable, except peyton and the baby both being alright. But i think that was kinda the point! i mean, throughout OTH there have been shocking reveals and tragic accidents and crazy incidents and surprise love confessions etc etc...For once, the writers just gave everyone what they wanted...to see nathan reach the NBA finally...Brooke and Julian together, Victoria repent and give Brooke back the company, Leyton and the baby live happily ever after...EVERYTHING was 'perfect'.And...the more i think about it, the more i wonder...could all of it really be real? i think maybe one of the characters...probably peyton, was dreaming it while lying on the floor bleeding...and next season...its all gonna be untrue...i mean...it is OTH...if everything is perfect now...what are they going to do for an entire season??

I think the overly happy ending caught everyone off guard because it really did feel like the ending of the entire show, but if it was then I would be a little angry because it basically summed up everything in a montage (very rushed indeed!). not that theres anything they can do about it now, but I think the only thing they should have tied up is lucus and peyton, everything else should have been a cliffehanger then season 7 would all make sense, but now it really doesn't. very disapointing!
