Mike Darnell jumps from 'American Idol' to 'The Voice' with Warner Bros. post

Mike Darnell, who oversaw everything from "American Idol" to "Mr. Personality" as head of FOX's unscripted programming division, has landed a new job ... one that will put him in charge of "Idol" rival "The Voice."Darnell has taken a job as president of Warner Bros. Unscripted and Alternative Television. He'll be in charge of the studio's Telepictures Productions, which produces "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and other syndicated programs, and Warner Horizon, which is behind "The Voice" and "The Bachelor" franchise.His move to Warner Bros. comes about two months after he left FOX.Darnell says the studio "made me an offer I couldn't refuse -- the opportunity to develop new shows and run the vast array of alternative shows that Warner Bros. already has going, which include not only some of the most successful on network television, but also an incredible presence on cable and in first-run syndication."Darnell, for better and worse, has been a leading figure...
