'Breaking Bad' fans call 911 over cable outage in Connecticut

This is how seriously some people are treating the final episodes of "Breaking Bad": The loss of cable service in part of Connecticut Sunday night (Aug. 18) resulted in numerous 911 calls.The Fairfield, Conn., Police Department was not amused. In a post on its Facebook page (which as of this posting had been removed), the department notes that loss of cable service is "neither an emergency or a police related concern" and reminded people they could be prosecuted for jamming up the 911 system with frivolous calls.To be fair, it probably wasn't just "Breaking Bad" watchers calling the police Sunday. ESPN was airing a New York Yankees-Boston Red Sox game, and FOX had an NFL preseason contest involving the New York Giants.
