10 Reasons SideReel Loves Glee's Puck, Even Though He's Such A Bad Boy

Slushie showers, throwing kids in the school dumpster, locking helpless dweebs in port-a-potties (ew), knockin' up his best friend's girlfriend... let's face it -- Glee's Noah "Puck" Puckerman has been a very, very bad boy. So why do we love him so? He's cocky, stubborn, promiscuous (to put it nicely) -- the exact opposite of a nice Jewish boy you can bring home to Mom (or is he?) ...yet somehow totally likable at the same time. Finn who?! Am I completely shallow for falling for Puck's troublemaking ways, or is there more to him than meets the eye? Either way, I've got it bad for this bad boy (& I know I'm not alone!), and here are my 10 reasons why:

10. Everyone loves a bad boy. They're always all wrong for us in the long run, and I'm sure there's a Paula Abdul song out there warning us about guys just like him, but that only makes us want him more. I mean, he's only my hypothetical boyfriend, so it's not like I'd actually have to deal with the consequences of his bad-boy hijinx...

9. He's smarter than he looks. Okay, kind of a backhanded compliment, but hear me out! He knows how to influence people to get what he wants, whether it's a date with Mercedes, a worse reputation, or a little make-out action from Rachel. Alright, so maybe being creepy and deceptive isn't really a great quality to have in a hypothetical boyfriend, but at least we know there's something going on upstairs other than pervy daydreams and bullying techniques.

8. He can pull off multiple hairstyles. Who doesn't love a guy with versatile style? He buzzed off the mohawk in Bad Reputation, and while Brittany might not have recognized him, I don't think the change sacrificed one ounce of his mojo!

7. He can play guitar. If you can swear that you didn't swoon during his performance of "Sweet Caroline" in the episode Mash-Up, you're in denial.

6. He's athletic. His role as a football player is more than just a reputation thing. He totally scores the winning touchdown in Preggers, with the help of the strategic "Single Ladies" routine, and while it didn't do much to improve his "Lima loser" status with Quinn, I thought it was totally hot.

5. He knows how to cut loose & have fun. Most token bad boys would throw down if someone made a mess of their gelled hair or rebel attire, but as he demonstrates in a strangely sexy food fight with Quinn in Wheels, getting dirty is much more fun than looking perfectly coiffed.

4. He's got class (sometimes). His tribute to Sammy Davis Jr. in Laryngitis proved that when Puck actually tries, he's a class act! Who knew? I mean, it even impressed Mercedes, and that's not easy to do!

3. He pulls through when we need him the most. Just when we think he can't get any more arrogant or unreliable, he goes and proves himself against all odds and bully stereotypes. Despite demanding football practices and a rigorous dating schedule, he's always there for his fellow Gleeks, and he makes sure Quinn knows he'd make the best father he can be... even though he's addicted to sexting.

2. He has a secret sensitive side. He doesn't like to admit it (no bad boy ever does), but way deep down, Puck is a total sweetheart. In Theatricality, he swallows his pride and admits that naming a baby girl after his favorite whiskey probably isn't the most considerate of ideas, and as an alternative, serenades Quinn with a sweet rendition of KISS' "Beth."

1. Mark Salling is just so darn cute. Okay, so I don't know Mark, but I do read/stalk his Twitter, and he seems like a pretty chill dude. But enough with the assumptions -- we all know he's hot, and a Puck by any other actor wouldn't be nearly as hot. And I mean that from the bottom of my Gleeky heart!

Besides Mark Salling's overwhelming cuteness, #7 was the reason I started my TV crushin! While Puck is always swoon-worthy when singing and/or playing the guitar, Sweet Caroline remains my absolute fav and def the Puck moment that gets me the most giddy. ;)

I absolutely agree Finn who? Puck all the way and in more ways than one.... I totally see Rachel and him being better than her and Finn :)

I was so pissed when the producers said they would revisit the Puck & Rachel storyline when they came back to complete the season, and all they did was perform that song together. Rachel & Puck >>>> Rachel & Jesse > Rachel & Finn.

I love Puck!!! He is awesome and I love his character I think he is the hottest guy on Glee. Rachel and Puck would be disgusting to me. She belongs with Finn. Puck and Quin should have kept the baby and started a family! That is something I think strongly about!

Puck is totally swoon worthy. When Quinn asks if he loved her and he says he still does my heart skipped a beat!I think my favorite Puck moments though are the moments when he's there for people in a way that is sweet but also goes with his bad boy nature.- Stealing money for Quinn and the baby from the bake sale for Artie- Apologizing to Rachel for having 'slushied' her ('Mash-Up')- Sticking up for Finn in Ep.4 against that loser on the other football team (I mean, he taunts the guy that he slept with his mom, in his bed, but props for picking up for Finn even though Finn is dating the girl he likes at the time)- Fighting with Finn that he hasn't done enough to get money for Quinn and the baby in 'Wheels'- Pushing back against Vocal Adrenaline with Finn in 'Theatricality', I mean, they slashed tires, but again, sticking up for the glee club. But I think favourite of all Puck moments is in 'Theatricality' again when he wants "to mess up that Jesse kid's face" after they egged Rachel.
