Rizzoli & Isles Season 4 Review “Judge, Jury & Executioner”

And the hot streak continues! On the latest “Rizzoli & Isles,” we were once again treated to a nifty little mystery in the aptly-titled “Judge, Jury & Executioner.” This was one well-constructed, tightly wound little episode for the most part, with only one noticeable plot development that was a bit suspect, which we’ll get to in a moment. Overall, though, it was a very enjoyable episode, so I can’t say I have a lot of complaints about it.

The set-up was compelling: a group of local students are staging a mock trial in an actual courtroom when one of the students’ mothers (A’da Alison Woolfolk) walks in and promptly keels over and goes into convulsions right there on the floor while her daughter (the coolly-named Jazz Raycole) is in the middle of her opening statements. To make matters worse, the woman in question was herself an actual judge, meaning that there could have been any number of suspects out to get her.
