‘Queen Latifah Show’ Gets Strong Ratings Start

“The Queen Latifah Show” got a solid ratings start with its premiere on Monday, posting a 1.7 rating/5 share in metered-market ratings and growing from last year’s time-period average and improving over its lead-in.

The episode, which featured an interview with John Travolta and a musical performance by Willow Smith, was up 31 percent in households from last year’s time-period average and by 21 percent from its average lead-in among households. (Those numbers don’t include Washington, DC and Richmond, Va., which were affected by breaking news of the Navy Yard shooting.)
