Love the Show, HATE the Clich©s!

I love Leverage and can say it is one of my Top 5 must see shows but the episode "Tap-Out Job" was highly offensive and generalized to me. They way the people of Nebraska were portrayed not to mention the locations were completely inaccurate. As someone living in Nebraska I can tell you, Nebraska is not just full of a bunch of hicks.

We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation. (And that is really saying something these days.)

Did you know the Nebraska is know as a state of wealth? We have more millionaires per capita than any other state. Yes, some of it does come from cattle and farming!

We have major corporations such as ConAgra, Mutual of Omaha, Gallup,eBay, PayPal, Google, Aflac, and Berkshire Hathaway just to name a few.

We are home to Warren Buffet

We have one of the Top 3 organ transplant units in the nation.

We rank 7th in the nation in education.

Want entertainment? Nope not a fighting ring like you saw on the show. We are home to the Largest Community Playhouse in the U.S. It was started by the Fonda's almost 100 years ago. Our Qwest Center is the 9th most active concert center in the WORLD. Our Holland performing arts center is host to our very own Opera and Ballet company as well as the award winning Omaha Symphony.

I wish shows would stop playing Cliche stereotypes and get real.

I have to tell you the show was a hot topic here on morning radio and evening news. It was slammed for the inaccurate portrayal.

Well that's all great, but get over yourself. They only showed a corrupt side of te wrestling business, they wern't generalizing Nebraska, they were showing a corrupted man be taken down by a Robin-hood like team of misfit crimefighters...who happened to be in Nebraska. They did the same thing in Boston last episode.
Come to think of it, has anyone really been paying any major attention to where they were, I can't even recall where their headquarters are supposd to be loacted.

The answer to Turkeystick's question would be Boston. If you may recall the first episode ended in Nate's appartment and Hardison, Parker and Eliot were transforming it into the new Leverage HQ.
Now to formulate a rebutle for Heatheranne: Its great that you take great pride of your homestate. However, Google and Ebay did not originate from Nebraska nor is their main HQ in the State of Nebraska. Instead Google originated and has their main HQ here in California and E-bay is located in CA as well. Now as for the other companies I do not know about nor do I really care. But the thing of it is that your home state was not incorrectly portrayed and like what Turkeystick said they were only referencing the corrupt side of the wrestling buisness. Now if you watch Southland and you are from Southern California and you were complaining about all the racial profiling and cliches that are depicted in that show then I could agree with you.

first episode of season 2 right? your talking about the third base of operations being in boston right? i get a little thrown by this but the first base was in the same city as blackpoole, the one that got blown up in the first david job. i donno what city that was supposed to be, but in the second david job they went straight to M.C. Hammer's old house from the museum. since im assuming the museum was in the same city as both of their offices .... wouldn't that put the whole operation around LA then? course when parker got jury duty, which can only happen in the city you 'reside' in, the skyline they showed was not the LA sky line (was it?). you can see my confusion, no? i'd appreciate any help sorting this mess out.

All of Season 2 is taking place in both Boston and Washington D.C. (during the Hunter episode). There was never a moment in season one when they had their base in Boston they only had their base of operations in Los Angeles and no where else really. If anything they would have to take a crap load of equipment with them to places like Texas. And they never had a base of operations in the very first episode of Leverage which took place in Chicago. It was always in LA. Plus M.C. Hammer's old house is located in the same city.
I hope this answers your questions.
