I realise it's a couple fo months away. But talks have arisen that this may not be the final season just yet. Now I know the CW have been saying this about alot of their shows that were supposed to be ending this year (Smallville, One Tree Hill) so i was a tad sceptical about whether we would be seeing more of (what I consider to be) the best show the CW has at the moment. However, after lulling it over in my mind it does seem to be the best choice of show to continue without ruining, unlike Smallville which will be entering it's tenth season and is no longer Superman the early years but just Superman.
I know we are only half way through the season and Kripke had his 5 year plan (if he's sticking with it it's fine by me as well) but I feel that this season hasn't delivered enough on the apocalypse just yet. I know it could all play out in a very intense twelve episode run and end with a bang but it may all be a bit rushed. So far they've touched on the divide between Sam and Dean after they began hunting together but haven't really done anything with it, I think we all can agree that there is a high possibility that Sam is going to say yes but it's how they get to it and whether they leave enough time to wrap it up that is my worry. The trailer for Sam, Interupted show Sam going slightly cuckoo and screaming "You did this to me!" Division being touched on again? Gonna have to wait and see.
Azazel (AKA Yellow eyes) was the big baddy for seasons 1+2 until the boys finally brought him down. Ruby/Lillith where the main antagonists for seasons 3+4 before Sam and Dean killed them. Does it not seem fitting that Lucifer should receive a two season spill and end the show in perfect symetry? If Kripke does agree to a sixth season, I'm betting that the finale will take place in Detroit. Which will be insane.
