SOUTH PARK: "INFORMATIVE MURDER PORN" REVIEW

Coming off a subpar season premiere, South Park's "Informative Murder Porn" took a noticeable step up in humor, satire and overall structure. Part of that might be because this was a Randy-centric storyline, which have often proven to be among the best (more so than even Cartman and Butters' stories in recent years). Where the premiere tackled the NSA, this episode maintained a thematic through line in dealing with people and businesses trying to govern others; but this time Matt and Trey shifted their focus closer to home -- namely to local cable providers and how they relate to domestic violence. That's not an easy pairing to make, but this week's episode managed to connect the dots quite nicely.
