‘The Blacklist’ Gets Full Season Order from NBC

The Blacklist has been given an additional nine episodes for its debut season, bringing the new series to a full 22-episode season on NBC. The series stars Emmy Award-winning actor James Spader (‘Stargate’ and ‘Boston Legal’) as Raymond “Red” Reddington, a fugitive on the FBI’s Most Wanted list, who mysteriously surrenders to the FBI, stating he is willing to work with the feds to catch a “blacklist” of politicians, mobsters, spies and international terrorists under the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth Keen (newcomer Megan Boone), an FBI profiler fresh out of Quantico.
