Witches of East End Season 1 Review “Electric Avenue”

After last week’s shock death on Witches of East End, I thought this episode, ‘Electric Avenue’, would be a sad grieving hour for Ingrid. What we got, however, was a beautiful and poignant extension of Ingrid and Adam’s brief love affair, along with a genuinely nasty subplot with Wendy and Joanna and some more indecision from Freya. Dash or Killian? I know which one I’d choose, but the apparition of Dash’s ex-fiancé was on hand to shake things up.

Yep, there were ghosts all over the place in this episode, with Ingrid summoning the spirit of Adam to delay the loss opening the door for Elise to come through as well. I thought she was there to make Freya jealous and push her further towards Killian but, instead, she wanted to hurt her lover for dumping her. The tale of her suicide was ridiculously sad, and really added something to Dash’s previously boring characterisation for me. The business with Elise was a real mess, and it’d understandable that the brothers haven’t spoken since.
